25 Types of Peppers to Know - Jessica Gavin

Ah peppers, the bane of people who aren't used to spice. I personally love them, and because of that using dried peppers, pepper seeds, or pepper-based infusions have been a cornerstone of my craft for years.

To start with, spice has its own connotations. For some it adds flavor, for others it's just painful. Useful for spells where you want to spice things up, and for those where you want to cause pain (which generally falls under cursing, but whatever).

What parts you use can also help with things. The seeds are usually the spiciest parts, so they could potentially be the most potent outside of using the whole pepper dried in some capacity. Dried slices, a ground/powdered version, might be less effective but it's up to each person's individual craft.

The individual pepper types also fall into this kind of thing. Using less spicy peppers might do more with flavor vs pain, while spicier peppers can do more for pain instead of flavor.

Seeds also have connotations with fertility, so people have def used pepper seeds to spice up their ah....bedroom life, so to speak. Or whatever else you can think of when thta comes to mind.

Colors can also be important - red, orange and yellow for fire, green for earth, ect. And since they're plants they're all around earth-related.

There's so, so many ways to use peppers in your craft! And as with some other things I've posted, if you're not open about it for whatever reason these have reasonable uses outside of it. If you cook at all few people will question why you have peppers, and if they do you have a reasonable explanation!
